Cat Cat Village - Lao Chai & Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai Village

06h00 - 06h30: Pick up at hotel or at the meeting point and then start departure to Sapa, following Noi Bai - Lao Cai high-way.
Along the way, you will have chance to contemplate the beauty of northwest mountains that terraced fields are sparkling in sunlight or dim in thick fog. Have a short break for 30 minutes then continue the trip to Sapa.
13h00: Arrive in Sapa, check in hotel and have lunch.
Afternoon: Start trekking to Cat Cat village, about 45 minutes walk from Sapa, this is the village of Black H’Mong hill tribe. You will experience the tribal way of life while enjoying wonderful views of the terraced rice paddy fields and the waterfall in Cat Cat village.
At here, visitors will be also visiting the Cat Cat waterfall, learning culture, unique customs of the people here with traditional crafts such as weaving, touching carved silver, forged agricultural tools... Coming here,you can see the hydroelectric power station which was built by the French in twentieth century.
Finish tour, come back hotel.
Evening: After dinner, you are free to explore the charm of Sapa by night, enjoy roasted corn, baked eggs beside charcoal fire or go shopping. Overnight at hotel in Sa Pa
08h00: After breakfast, Check out hotel. You leave the hotel and start trekking. The first part is on the road but we soon turn to the right and walk on a small path down the valley to the Muong Hoa River and from here to the Black H’mong - Lao Chai Village . Black H’mong is one of the biggest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and keep their traditions and way of living. They have their own language and wear traditional indigo blue clothing.
You have lunch at Lao Chai Village.
After this you continue to Ta Van village (1.200 m) to visit Zay people. Zay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam. The development has meant that some of their old customs have been lost but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green color. The Zay houses are build of wood and bamboo with a clay floor. You stay overnight with a local family in Ta Van and have our dinner here.
After the breakfast, Continue to visit Red Dao people at Giang Ta Chai where we also see a waterfall. The Red Dao women have very colorful red embroidery and coins on their clothing. On their head they wear a red scarf. Some of the women have shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Zao Legend.
You continue along small paths in the rice fields, where you will meet the jeep and transfer back to Sapa
Afternoon: Free time at leisure for shopping or visiting Sapa on your own.
16h00: It‘s time to say “Good bye Sapa!” and drive back to Hanoi. Along the way, once again you have a chance to enjoy the magical beauty of northwest mountains.
21h30: We arrive in Ha Noi.
